Kenny Florian "I've beaten him (Huerta) already"

UFC 87:Seek and Destroy may have Georges St.Pierre, Jon Fitch, Brock Lesnar Heath Herring and many other stars fighting next weekend but one fight is destined to steal the show. It has been on everyone's minds because of the statements Roger Huerta made about Kenny Florian being a cakewalk in an interview a few weeks back (Which he claims was edited by the UFC). Then Huerta's comments about his UFC deal and his treatment by the UFC. Now Kenny Florian in his personal blog for UFC.com has a few choice remarks on how he feels he has already won the fight against Roger "El Matador" Huerta.

I’ve already fought Roger Huerta a million times, in training, in my head, and I’ve beaten him already. You have to have that mentality going into the fight, and with all the work we’ve put in, it’s always harder than the fight itself. Making it into the Octagon with both your legs and both your arms, and with no cuts, bruises or sprains is an accomplishment, and thankfully I don’t have anything major and I’m ready to go. This is something I’ve really been looking forward to. In the past I think there’s always been some doubt and some fear going into the ring; but now, that’s my home, that’s where I do my best work, where I’m free, and that’s where I can let it all hang out and show everybody all my techniques. I feel like I get to paint in front of the world and everyone gets to see it.

As if this fight needed any more hype then it has got in the last two weeks this is just another thing to make us salivate for the fight to happen already. These are two of the most determined fighters in the UFC lightweight division right now. BJ Penn better be watching this fight and realize that GSP is not his only challenger in the UFC right now. Huerta and Florian may show us at UFC 87 that they could be his biggest threats right now. Everyone is talking about this fight in the MMA world and its the "Icing and Sprinkles" on the cake for this event. Even without this fight that card is stacked, but this might be the one we are talking about on the following Sunday. Florian's blog is a must read for any fan who loves head games and Psychological warfare.
