EliteXC will have an event at the Table Mountain Casino in Friant, Ca. scheduled for August 15 on Showtime for it's ShoXC Challenger Series which will feature the highly touted welterweight Judoka Hector Lombard and Cyrille Diabate (11-6-1) who will take on Jaime Fletcher (6-3) who has fought on ShoXC a few times already. The Card will also feature a rematch between Poai Suganuma (9-1) vs Jared Hamman (9-1) who suffered his first career loss to Suganuma at a previous ShoXC card back on April 5. The crowd felt the fight between Hamman and Suganuma ended abruptly when Suganuma blasted Hamman with a flying knee which lead to the crowd booing the official for putting a stop to the match.
Lombard (16-2) does not have an opponent yet, but EliteXC VP Jared Shaw has indicated that an opponent for Lombard will be announced soon as they are in the process of finalizing a deal with the fighter he has in mind.
And in other EliteXC news there will be a featherweight bout between Wilson Reis (4-0) squaring off with Brian Caraway (9-2) on July 26 at EliteXC: Unfinished Business. The bout will be the first fight of the evening for the undercard portion of the event on Showtime at 8pm ET. The main card will air on CBS at 9pm ET.
