Things are going from bad to worse with the figures from EliteXC as their live gate numbers are being reported by various sources as a total flop. We will go with our favorite source for MMA business MMA Payout. The numbers they are reporting can not be good for a company that just got beat out by a repeat of UFC 84:ill Will, then got it completely thrown in their face by a UFC press release that seems Dana White wrote while doing a victory dance. Gary Shaw and Doug Deluca both got shit canned (Yeah were professional writers) but said they resigned when they actually cleaned out their offices last week. Even though Jared Shaw's denial did not save his job from the Internet bloggers who write all these evil "Rumors" that come true. Truth be told I like both Shaws and I'm glad CBS won't be able to pin an EliteXC collapse on their shoulders.

Now remember that this does not mean EliteXC is over and done by far, if CBS decides to go through with the October show that will feature Kimbo and a rumored Gina Carano vs Chris Cyborg title fight. That card can have a much higher rating if they actually publicize it. Another rumor is they banned the Noons vs Diaz families video, destroying a potential Nick Diaz vs KJ Noons rematch was a dumb move for future fights having interest from new EliteXC fans. If they do not realize that MMA is not Everybody Loves Raymond the show will not be watched. As of right now EliteXC is being nominated for the URDirt.com Fail of the week, other nominees include James Irvin for testing positive for Pain killers at UFN-14.
