UR Dirt-E "Quick Fix"

- Former IFL fighter and now WEC newcomer L.C. Davis who verbally agreed to step in for an injured Cub Swanson will not be fighting Hiroyuki Takaya due to Takaya turning down the fight, so the matchup has been pulled off the WEC 35 card completely as reported on WEC.TV.

- In another report various sources have confirmed that the 6'10" Gan McGee will come out of retirement and resurface back into the MMA world and will fight Jonathan Ivey on September 15 at an Xtreme Fighting Championship card. McGee at one point was on the verge of UFC glory after knocking out Pedro Rizzo and Alexandre Dantas to gain a UFC heavyweight title match, but than he faced another big man in Tim Sylvia who was the champ at the time and lost that fight by knockout. Since than McGee fought in PRIDE and lost his two fights there and was never seen again until now.

- In a statement translated by MMA Mania.com Aleksander Emelianenko stated that the reason he was not able to compete at Affliction "Banned" was because he was not able to meet deadlines for the show. "I passed the medical board and my license to fight was obtained without any problems. But the fact is that in California the commission is very rigid for admittance. One of the main conditions to let you fight is the ability to pass all of your tests on time. I had to be in America by July 13, the Visa was only good until the fourteenth and my tickets were purchased in advance for the fifteenth. On the whole, I was late. They thought the organizers could agree and settle the problem but they quickly found out they would not be able to get me on the card. Instead they were able to find a suitable replacement for Paul Buentello. The laws in California are so rigid."
As many of you know there was a rumor he had Hepatitis and that was the reason he was not able to fight.
