Paul "Semtex" Daley bashes Pro Elite, Nick Diaz and Cage Rage

Anyone who has seen Paul "Semtex" Daley (18-6) fight knows this is a guy who has a lot of talent and potential to go far in MMA and could potentially be a big asset for Pro Elite and EliteXC in the UK. In his two fights for EliteXC he easily took care of former Ultimate Fighter contestant Sam Morgan by TKO (Strikes) in 2:12 of the first round. The other fight came against the highly favored UFC veteran Dwayne "Bang" Ludwig who he finished in just 42 seconds of the second round by TKO (strikes). After Daley's fight against Morgan he left a shocking message on MMA forums in England announcing his retirement and expressed no interest in fighting again in the future. He said he would finish his contract by fighting one more time for EliteXC and he was going to retire. Daley who is signed with Pro Elite has fought for Cage Warriors on July 12 but was threatened with legal action if he did so. Daley fought and won beating Bojan Kosednar by Knockout.
Daley expressed his frustrations in a recent interview with fightersonlymagazine on Pro Elite not letting him fight for Cage Warriors in the UK saying "If I had been Nick Diaz, it wouldn't have been a problem. The guy smokes weed, starts riots on TV, doesn't make weight, fights whoever the fuck he wants, and there's no problem there. It's a bit of a piss-take really."

Daley says he had ProElite's permission at first to fight at the Cage Warriors show until other outside influences forced them to stop him from fighting. The event took place in Daley's hometown of Nottingham, England which was a major sticking point to him. The problem is that Pro Elite owns Cage Rage and Cage Warriors is their rival, and it seems as if they made sure there current Cage Rage Champion did not show up in their rival's promotion. Daley did say he was also threatened with Legal action if he took the fight so we will see what happens and we will keep you informed in the near future.
