I did not notice watching this fight the first time, but after Phil Baroni KO'd Scott Jansen at Cage Rage 27 this past weekend he was head butted by one of Jansen's cornermen. If you fast forward to the one minute mark after the first round you can see a guy with a yellow shirt head butt him in the side of the face. Baroni announced today to Fighters Only magazine he will not be pressing charges and had this to say.
“These things happen.” Said Baroni. “It must be tough to see a loved one get knocked out like that. Emotions ran high. I want to put this behind me.”
If you also watch passed the KO win you can even see that Jansen's girlfriend begins to trash talk Baroni as she walks into the ring (White dress on). Baroni never retaliated even though it was said his cornerman and teammate Mark "The Hammer" Coleman wanted to. This is not the first time one of Jansen's people will be banned from Cage Rage, one of his relatives has already been banned for inappropriate behavior in the past. Cage Rage officials said this would launch an official investigation into the matter right away.
