The Affliction: Banned inaugural show which will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Ca. on July 19 is beginning to pick up steam with it's promotion of a large billboard posting at where else, but in the heart of Times Square in NYC. VP Tom Atencio says (in an interview with mmajunkie.com) its all part of a marketing push and he will also hold a closed circuit feed of the event at the Gold Coast Casino which will be right across the street from the Palms Casino and Resort where the UFC will be holding UFN 14.
And on other Affliction business the Fox Sports Network (FSN) will televise the undercard portion of the Affliction: Banned event at 8pm ET. An hour before the 9pm ET main card which will air live on pay per view.The undercard will feature Aleksander Emelianenko (13-3) vs Paul Buentello (25-10) along with Terry Martin (17-4) taking on Vitor Belfort (16-8).
