Randy Couture asking for $6 to $10 Million for himself and Fedor

Randy Couture who is in court with Zuffa for not fulfilling his fight contract with the UFC, was a guest on the Adam Carolla Show. Where he talked about a potential fight with Fedor, he said would bring to the UFC money wise thinking that it could even surpass Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz 2 at UFC 66 which raked in about $1.2 Million buys. Here is a bit on what Couture said on a fight with Fedor,

Quote from MMAMania.com
"I’d love for the UFC to step up and make the fight [with Fedor Emelianenko] happen. It has the potential to be the biggest mixed martial arts fight to date…It has the potential to do 700,000+ pay-per-view buys which is a helluva lotta money. I think 6-10 [million should be the salary] for each of us and they’re still gonna make a boatload of money on top of that."

As much as MMA fans would so much like to see a Couture vs Fedor super fight; first things first the payroll for fighter salaries for UFC 87 was about a total $937,000 plus. And finally the asking price that Couture is suggesting will more than likely never happen. I would say the UFC will go no higher than $1.5 to $2 Million for Couture and Fedor each and maybe that would be pushing it. But don't take my word for it that is just my opinion. We will continue to keep a close eye on the saga for a fight that is Randy Couture vs Fedor Emelianenko.
