Current Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Cung Le has been engaged in some talks about possibly signing on with the UFC which could also lead to a possible showdown with UFC Middleweight title holder Anderson Silva. The only thing that is holding up the process is that Le still has three fights left in his deal with the California based promotion.
After speaking in a seminar this past Saturday; Le said that the UFC is looking to give him a six fight package deal and Strikeforce is willing to "work something out" because lets face it the UFC is known to refuse single appearance deals. One of Le's interests in part to fighting in the UFC is Silva and he had this to say,
"Silva is the best pound-for pound fighter in the world at present, but believes he has the tools to beat him." Le also added,“Everyone in the UFC who is fighting him, they are fighting scared.”
Le says he would bring an aggressive approach if he fought Silva. This would be an even bigger test for Le, but he did pass his first exam in beating Frank Shamrock earlier this year to win the Strikeforce Middleweight title. Le would also say about Silva that when you look at his record all his 4 losses have been to Asians (he jokes).
