UFC Middleweight and number 1 contender Yushin Okami has broken his hand while training in hopes of preparing for his match with 185lb Champ Anderson Silva. Okami previously broke his hand back in March at UFC 82 when he defeated Evan Tanner, but it has not been said whether Okami had a clean break in the hand or just re-aggravated the injury. Plans were if Anderson Silva was to come out of tonight's matchup with James Irvin with no injuries he would be facing Okami at UFC 88: Breakthrough. Now Patrick Cote who beat Ricardo Almeida at UFC 86 for a future Middleweight title shot would most likely be facing Silva now that Okami could be out for some time.
