
- The IFL's reigning Middleweight Champion Dan Miller (8-1) and his brother lightweight Jim Miller have signed with the UFC according to MMAJunkie.com. According to their manager Mike Constantino who broke the news to them of the signings.
- According to MMANews.com Aleksander Emelianenko's career may be in jeopardy after testing positive for Hepatitis B. This was rumored for a while as the reason he was not able to fight Paul Buentello at Afflicition Banned.
- Despite reports and rumors of a possible second Affliction card being held at Atlantic City, New Jersey in October. A report out of MMAWeekly.com is stating the second show for Affliction will not be in New Jersey but in the UFC's backyard of Las Vegas on October 11th. The reports biggest shock is that the event will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center. We will let you know when anything becomes official in the future.
- In an interview with MMA Radio Ed Soares who is the manager of UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva had this to say on UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre and the possibility of a superfight between the two, “That sounds great … I think GSP is an incredible fighter. But I think GSP needs to prove himself. He still hasn’t had a successful title defense [at 170 pounds]. I don’t really feel that he deserves (a fight against Anderson Silva fight) yet. Go defend your title a few times and then we’ll talk.”
