“I’m 25 years old and the older I get, the more training I do, the more weight I gain, the more muscle mass I get. It’s not a problem at the moment but, I don’t doubt that in maybe 3 or 4 years from now that I know I’m going to have problems making 155, so that’s when I’ll start thinking about moving up to 170.”
Huerta is now at the door step of a lightweight title shot and the only man that stands in his way is Kenny Florian (9-2). Florian has won an impressive 4 fights in a row since losing to former Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk at UFC 64 almost two years ago. This fight may very well be the favorite in a stacked card that features Georges St.Pierre, Jon Fitch and Brock Lesnar. Huerta's last fight in the Octagon was at The Ultimate Fighter 6 finale against Clay Guida and was one of the most action packed fights in the history of MMA. Perhaps this fight will be one of the few that can eclipse its lightning fast pace as well.
