Robbie Lawler won his first official title defense against Scott Smith on Saturday at EliteXC's "Unfinished Business" but the win did not come without a price, 5Oz. of pain had this picture of Lawler's head after the fight. Lawler was hit with a elbow on top of the head by Scott Smith in the first round of their fight and it began to bleed immediately. Even Smith thought he was sure it would play a factor over the course of the fight. Lawler said in the broadcast he saw the cut and began to go to work faster, so the referee would not stop the fight.
All these cuts, bumps and bruises are going to help when we do another one of our favorite polls at the end of the year. Marvin Eastman may have some company atop our list this year along with Eddie Alvarez's eye from Dream 5.
