Karo Parisyan is known for his hot Armenian temper and his competitive tough guy nature its what makes him a good fighter. Who can forget his argument with Nate Diaz on The Ultimate Fighter 5? He still comments about the altercation in interviews where he talks about fighting him. Karo who was set to fight next for the Welterweight Championship against Georges St.Pierre. He even sidestepped a fight with now number 1 contender Jon Fitch so he wouldn't risk losing his turn in line. He fought Thiago Alves instead at Ultimate Fight Night 13 in what he must have perceived as an easier opponent. Instead of walking through Alves as he thought he would, Karo was hit with a knee that caused a flash knockout. Karo sat straight down after being hit with the knee and then woke up to attempt to defend himself as the referee was stopping the fight.
Since then Parisyan has not forgot about fighting Alves again in a rematch, in an interview with FightTicker.com Parisyan had some interesting comments on a possible rematch with Alves.
"In a rematch its going to be disturbing what I do to Thiago Alves. I promise you and I promise everyone else it will be disturbing what I do to Thiago Alves. But its like I've never been stopped like that in a fight. Never been robbed like that in a fight."
There are no rumors at the time of a rematch possibly happening any time soon, Alves next opponent is rumored to be Diego Sanchez at UFC 89 in England. Today MMArated went on to say the fight was confirmed as well as Spike broadcasting the fight card for free. We will keep you updated on anything else we find out in the near future.
