Top ten middleweight Denis Kang who was originally scheduled to appear at Dream 5 from Osaka, Japan has been pulled from the event. In a report from MMAweekly.com Kang was told of the change last week. Fight Entertainment Group who runs Dream still has not told Kang as to why he was taken off the card as of yet.
"I have no idea," Kang said. "I was feeling really good for this fight, I was peeking really well." Kang will now prepare for his scheduled middleweight title defense in Korea where he will face Jae Young Kim on August 31 in part of a Korean promotion called Spirit MC. Once done with that fight he is to make an appearance for the Canadian promotion called Raw Combat, but at the moment does not have an opponent as of yet. Kang goes on to say that his relationship with FEG isn't done though. “I want to stay with them, I have no problem with them,” he said. “I don’t know that any organization can be perfect. I understand that’s just the way business goes. You have to remember, FEG is running K-1 and K-1 Max, K-1 Heavyweight and Dream at the same time. So I know they’re busy. It’s just very frustrating.”
