Freddie Roach "Nothing set" for Andrei Arlovski Boxing match

Just late last week we at URDirt.com put up an article about the former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski making his pro boxing debut September 13 on the undercard of the Joel Casamayor vs Juan Manuel Marquez HBO pay per view event, but according to Arlovski's trainer Freddie Roach says, "I've been training Andrei for boxing, yeah." Roach also said, "I know Andrei has a future in boxing, of course. But I don't believe there is anything set out there."

Arlovski was one of the best UFC champions they had when he held the title. He is a fierce striker with a very powerful right hand, but since his lost to Tim Sylvia back at UFC 59: Reality Check not only did he lose his title he lost his assertive approach as well, but after losing to Sylvia in his rematch at UFC 61 Arlovski has won his last three fights coming into his fight with Ben Rothwell at Affliction: Banned July 19. Andrei had this to say about Freddie Roach "Freddie has shown me a lot of technique. He has shown me what can be good for me against Rothwell. I'm very proud to train with Freddie Roach. He's a great coach." Let's see if Roach's teachings will help bring back the Arlovski of old.
