Affliction VP Tom Atencio announced last week that he was looking to have two more Affliction cards in the near future. “We’re looking at July 19 at the Honda Center, then we’ve got the end of October, possibly November for the second show, then the third show will be in February.”. What was not said, but is rumored to be planned is Fedor Vs Josh Barnett at Affliction's next card. This is based on if both fighters win their fights at Affliction "Banned" on July 19. One reported hurdle is whether Fedor who is not signed to an exclusive contract with Affliction will accomodate them and wait on the unspecified date for the fight. Especially when there have already been rumors of a possible rematch with Mirko Cro Cop on New years eve. 
This fight which is many years in the making is something every hardcore MMA and former Pride FC fan will want to see. The fight was supposed to happen at New Years Eve two years ago after Mirko Cro Cop won the OWGP but needed time to heal his wounds. Barnett was also rumored to be in consideration for the fight but it never materialized, after Pride's demise the fight was again rumored after Fedor signed with M-1 Global in New Jersey, but it once again never materialized into anything but more than a rumor. So lets hope this time it actually happens so we can see this fight already. I know a lot of people think Barnett can be a really good match up for Fedor because of his ground game, wrestling and size. Please leave comments below
