Overeem also recently defeated Paul Buentello at StrikeForce last year for the promotions Heavyweight Championship. The two wins are his first back to back wins since beating Sergei Kharitonov and Sanjin Kadunc in 2006. Overeem is best known for beating such fighters as Shogun Rua and Chuck Liddell in the first half of their matches only to be knocked out in spectacular fashion in the end.
