A report out of mmajunkie.com shows that former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich "Ace" Franklin (23-3) could be making an appearance at UFC 88: Breakthrough at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia September 6 live on PPV.
The search for an opponent for Franklin is in motion. Franklin's fight might not necessarily be at 185lbs. It is possible that Franklin could be fighting at 205lbs like he and the organization first considered, but if so it would probably be just temporary. According to his business manager nothing has been definitive or decided at this time.
Should this be true, Franklin will most likely be the co - main event alongside Chuck Liddell taking on Rashad Evans.
