The first Promo for Scott Smith Vs Robbie Lawler was released today on Proelite.com, for EliteXC's second show on live TV.
Antonio Silva (10-1) still doen't have an opponent as of yet, but it looks he has verbally agreed to now fight former UFC Heavyweight Justin Eilers (19-6-1) July 26th at the Stockton Arena in Stocton, Ca. on CBS "Saturday Night Fights" for the vacant EliteXC Heavyweight Championship. EliteXC VP Jared Shaw revealed the news to fiveouncesofpain.com earlier today.
Other fighters supposedly were rumored to face Silva such as IFL Heavyweight Champ Roy Nelson and Sergei Kharitonov. It has also been said through Eilers' manager Monte Cox that they intend to sign and fax the contract over to EXC officials later in the day. We will keep you updated with this developing situation.It is now official. Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva will take on Justin Eilers for the vacant EliteXC Heavyweight Championship as the main event on the Showtime card leading up to the main card on CBS.
