Through a message from his administrator on his myspace.com blog Chris"The Crippler"Leben announced he has been released from jail and has now been put under home detention. Although Leben was set to be released May 27th he will spend the rest of his time at home due to getting credit by turning himself in. Leben who was originally set to face Michael"The Count"Bisping at UFC 85:Bedlam, has since been replaced by Jason"Dooms"Day after finding out he would not have enough time to train and prepare for the fight.
Chris Leben's Myspace Administrator:
“Hello all, Chris has been released from jail over the weekend. This is all the information I have right now and I’ll be sure to update everyone on his resolved legal issues, immediate plans and the expected date of his next match after Chris gets everything organized. He thanks you again for your patience and understanding and Chris will be posting here as soon as he can.”
There is no word as to Leben's next opponent or when he will fight next. Stay tuned to find out any new information.
"My 2 Cents"
It's good to know that Leben is just about done with his time and although. You weren't able to fight Bisping I really do hope you get the opportunity to face him down the line it would be a great fight the fans and myself want to watch.
