Not convinced you should order UFC 84: Ill will huh? Here is why if you are a true MMA fan it is a deadly sin to miss UFC 84. This week we give you the top 5 reasons on why you can not miss UFC 84: Ill will.

#5- Is Shane Carwin the UFC's Real next big thing?

Shane Carwin (8-0) is making his UFC debut and with the recent departures of Tim Sylvia, Mirko Cro Cop, Andrei Arlovski and Randy Couture. Carwin is one of the new acquisitions to the UFC Heavyweight division. who along with Cain Velasquez, Neil Wain and Brock Lesnar could easily become one of the UFC's Heavyweight poster boys. Carwin is a former 2 time NCAA division 2 Wrestling Champion (2 time runner up also). 2 time all American Football player, he is 6"4 265 lbs. For years the UFC'S most succesful champions have all had a Wrestling base. Matt Hughes, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell all have wrestling credentials and have had their runs as dominating champions. Carwin's dominance so far may be his ground and Pound and his Wrestling in smaller shows. With Antonio Minitauro Nogueira and Frank Mir ready to do battle at the end of the year. The UFC Heavyweight division might be determined by a fighter's Ju Jitsu skills and defense. Which should not be a problem with a training partner and coach like Nate "The Great" Marquardt (2nd degree Black belt in Jiu Jitsu) on his side. Carwin is a Purple belt under Marquardt. Who in a recent interview said of Carwin "His ground and pound is like nothing I have ever seen".

Carwin will also have to improve his stand up with dangerous fighters such as Cheick Kongo and Antoni Hardonk recently finding success in the Heavyweight division. That is why Carwin trains with Trevor Wittman as his Boxing coach a great coach for tons of MMA stars. One thing is for sure Carwin comes into the UFC roster with more experience a better all around fight game and less hype and focus then Brock Lesnar yet similiar credentials. With less of a spot light and focus to as Brock's stigma of being a unbeatible Wrestler in the WWE. All the pieces for his success are in place and do you want to be a blasphemer and miss Shane Carwin's debut? A fighter who can easily be the UFC'S next big thing.
