Metal Gear Solid 4 Sons of the Patriots has gone Gold.

Konami announced today that Metal Gear Solid 4 Sons of the Patriots has gone gold and is complete and ready for its June 12th release date. Konami also announced that is working other big games for the Playstation 3 in the near future. The announcment was made at Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills cineplex in Japan, where press guests where invited to trailers and gameplay on big screens.

This game is going to have alot of people trying to run out of work early under card board boxes in stealth from their bosses.

GTA IV smashes Halo 3 and Harry Potter one day sales records.

Guinness World records announced today that GTA IV smashed Halo 3's previously set sales record of $170 Million and Harry Potter's and The Deathly Hollows of record of $220 Millions. Rockstar earned $310 Million on its first day of sales, and $510 Million its first week.

If the EA buy out of GTA owned publisher Take 2 happens is this the last GTA that will be this edgy and dark humored? EA is known more for its in game advertising and cleanliness as a publisher, will GTA drastically change in their hands? Will a lot of the team responsible for making GTA IV even come with the buy out or be laid off in the process? This game is awesome and I would love to see it stay as is, there are just too many questions for the future of this franchise.
