- In a report from MMAjunkie.com they have been told that the Kentucky based American Fight League will be looking to put up a big show in the next couple of months by putting fighters such as Tara LaRosa and former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley in action. The organization's director of public relations tells MMAjunkie that they are close to an event announcement and they will have their air on pay per view. The AFL is also looking to book such fighters as John Alessio and Mike Van Arsdale as well.
- Highly touted middleweight prospect Tim Kennedy who sports a MMA record of 9-2 with wins over the likes of Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Dante Rivera and former IFL Middleweight Champion Ryan McGivern is looking to get back into the sport full time. Kennedy who is a Staff Sargeant in the United States Army is planning to go on terminal leave in the fall and eventually leave the armed forces according to the Army Times.
