The California based Strikeforce organization announced that former Pride middleweight grand prix winner Kazuo Misaki (20-8-2) will be making his debut with the promotion and will be taking on former UFC veteran Joe "Diesel" Riggs (28-10) at "Strikeforce at the Mansion 2" in the famed Playboy estate September 20. Strikeforce officials made the announcement last night.Both fighters have fought for most organizations over the years with Misaki recently competing at WVR: Sengoku Third Battle in a unanimous decision victory over Logan Clark and Riggs submitting Matt Dempsey late last month at Rage in the Cage 112 by rear naked choke. A win for Misaki might give him a shot at the title currently held by Cung Le and a decision for Riggs gives him a big win over a top ten competitor in the middleweight division. No other matchups have been announced yet, but Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh "The Punk" Thomson did confirm on a recent blog bulletin he was fighting at the event.
