The Dream 6 Middleweight Tournament on July 23 should pack as much action as the Lightweight Tournament did a few weeks ago. Today Dream officially announced their matchups for the event.Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza (9-1) will take on the always improving Zelg "Benkei" Galesic (9-3). This fight puts a jiu-jitsu ace up against a stand up technician who at one point was called little Cro Cop by some. Both of these fighters have improved over the last year and will look to advance into the finals. The other fight is a no brainer Melvin Manhoef (22-4) will take on Gegard Mousasi (22-2), This should also prove to be an interesting battle as Mousasi is on a 8 fight win streak. Another matchup that was announced was Hideo Tokoro vs Atsushi Yamamoto in a featherweight bout.
Now that we have out Tournament matchups the only other question is with the success of Joachim Hansen being in the reserve bout for the Lightweight Tournament. Who will be the reserves for the Middleweight Tournament my guess with Dream's struggling ratings is either Sakuraba or Akiyama vs someone they can easily defeat with a record of 1-0.
