Vitor Belfort vs Matt Lindland at Affliction's second show

After Matt Lindland won at Affliction: Banned he said in a post fight interview he was asked about possible future fights. One name he mentioned along with the other possible rematches with David Terrell and Murilo Bustamante was Vitor Belfort. He said the following,

"I would love to fight Belfort, he’s a legend in the sport. I respect him a lot. To get in the ring with a guy like him would be great."

Now it appears Lindland will get his wish to fight Belfort who is coming off of an impressive win at Affliction over Terry Martin in the second round of their fight. He had this to say in a recent interview with Tatame.com.

“The doctor will analyze it, but I may stay four weeks out. I’ll come back in October 11th to fight Matt Lindland for the belt. “It’ll be a great fight, we’ll see who is the best of the world there”, said Belfort, that guarantees his style will be a problem for Lindland.
“I saw his fight with Negão and he’s a warrior... He comes over you, but I don’t think he has the strength to stay over me”, analyzes Vitor, that wants another knockout on his career.
“I’ll go to knock him out… My punches are well-aimed and when it hits he won’t stand”, guarantees Belfort"

You read right "For The Belt", now this means Affliction is already putting together Championship bouts for their promotion which should prove interesting if Fedor vs Arlovski will also be on the October 11 card rumored to be in the Thomas and Mack center in Las Vegas AKA "Dana's Town". So far this is the rumored card for Affliction's second unnamed event. We will let you know if and when they become official.
