Rampage to begin training next week

It appears that former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson who had his leg looked at today showed that he only has a deep bone bruise and could get to training as early as Monday, but in the meantime Rampage must avoid any contact to the lower part of the leg till then. According to Rampage's trainer Juanito Ibarra tells mmajunkie.com "He's (Rampage) totally fine. There's no damage. All we're waiting for is the rematch." Jackson took the majority of the damage to the shin not the knee.

Ibarra also believes that a rematch will happen immediately. "Why shouldn't it?" Ibarra says. Forrest Griffin after the matchup tells UFC commentator Joe Rogan that he didn't want to fight Jackson again because each shot he took from him hurt, but he knew that he had to. Let's see if a rematch does indeed happen towards the end of the year.
