Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua who was recovering from injuries to ACL throughout the was at one point the top light heavyweight in the world, now he must train hard to fight his way back to top form and that could begin in the month of December as Shogun could possibly be facing UFC hall of famer Mark Coleman. As we all know Shogun and Coleman have sort of a history together when they fought in February of 2006 back at Pride 31 when Coleman won the fight but broke Shogun's arm in the process thus; ensuing a melee between both fighters and their cornermen. Shogun had this to say in an interview with Tatame magazine,
“I might face Mark Coleman on December, but nothing has been signed yet. He wanted to face me on November, and I really want to face him,” Shogun also added, “I hope this time he doesn’t run from me. He said no to me a couple of times, but I believe now it will happen.” This could be interesting to see how this plays out should Shogun and Coleman decide to give it a second try this time in the Octagon.
