Manny Gamburyan talks fighting at 145 pounds

Here is a very interesting situation that should get some fans blood boiling for a future fight. As we all know fans have talked about the WEC's 145 pound divsion coming to the UFC especially while current Champion Urijah Faber is looking like the poster boy for the division in the US. Potential fights between Kid Yamamoto and even current 135 pound WEC Champion Miguel Torres have been speculated and wanted by fans and fighters alike. Well here is some more fuel to the fire and another hat in the ring of potential fights for the current WEC Champion.

In an interview with Fiveouncesofpain.com Manny Gamburyan the former Ultimate Fighter season 5 finalist talks about potentially dropping to Featherweight to fight Urijah Faber.
"I don’t mind going down to 145 if the UFC brings it in. There isn’t enough money right now in the WEC,” Gamburyan said, “If the UFC brings in 145, I’d definitely go down. I’d definitely be interested in a fight with Urijah Faber.”

This fight would make for a 5 round war if it could be done, WEC has been stepping up their game and making quality events on Versus. If the WEC can continue putting on quality events how much longer will it be to a fight like this is possible? Well only time will tell lets hope a fight of this caliber can eventually happen for the world and MMA fans to see.
