As we all know many fighters right now have said publicly they do not want to fight Lyoto Machida. Brandon Vera was asked to fight him at UFN 14 on July 19 and turned the fight down due to the fact he felt it was not enough time to train for a fighter with his style.Current Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin has gone on record as to say "I want nothing to do with Machida". These fighters coming out and publicly saying they do not want to fight him has changed the question from "Who is Lyoto Machida?" To "Who will fight Lyoto Machida?"
His manager Ed Soares was a guest on the TAGGRadio Network and was talking about the "elusive" one possibly fighting sometime in October against a worthy opponent at that.
"It's not signed yet. It's going to be a good match, though, for sure." Soares said.
Should this happen and Machida does fight in October my question to you is who could he fight? Rampage Jackson, Wanderlei Silva or Thiago Silva? Also which card will it take place on? As we know UFC 89 is in October and there is a rumor going around that UFC 90 will take place a week later. So we will keep you updated on any new findings.
