MFC M-1 President (Fedor's agent) Vadim Finkelstein revealed that Fedor will fight another two times over the course of the next 6 months which including his Affliction "Banned" date would make 3 fights in 6 months for the former Pride Champion this year. "Two more fights are planned for Fedor. The first one in October in the context of the next Affliction show in conjunction with M-1 Global. The second one at New Year’s Eve in Japan, most likely it’s going to be the M-1 Challenge Finale and Fedor will compete in a superfight, probably his opponent will be the winner of ‘Fighting Fedor’ or another top fighter."
Could this October fight be against Josh Barnett as rumored in the past? Could his New years eve opponent be none other than Mirko Cro Cop? As we all know Randy Couture left the UFC in order to fight Fedor over the course of the next year. As of now it doesn't look as if the former Pride Champion is sitting around waiting. As we know Tom Atencio of Affliction confirmed last week two more cards were being planned for the promotion one of which was an unspecified October date.
