UFC president Dana White in an interview with Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports is very much considering the possibility of liquidating the WEC's middleweight and light heavyweight divisons and putting its fighters such as Middleweight Champion Paulo Filho, Chael Sonnen and Light Heavyweight Champion Brian Stann.
The WEC however will just completely put more emphasis in it's other divisions such as the lightweight and welterweight classes. And even though current UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and Paulo Filho won't fight one another because of their friendship just imagine the possibility of Filho fighting a Rich Franklin or even Dan Henderson.
