Alexandre "Pequeno" Nogueira fined and suspended for a year

WEC featherweight Alexandre "Pequeno" Nogueira who recently lost to Jose Aldo in his debut with the organization has now been suspended by the California State Athletic Commission for a year by testing positive for an anabolic steroid called Boldenone and will be fined $2,500 by the commission. Nogueira however will get a chance to appeal his case as the commission says that his sample "A" was tested at Quest Diagnostics and sample "B" was tested at a lab in Quebec, Canada named Laboratoire de controle du dopage. There was some talk of the former Shooto titleholder possibly facing former UFC Lightweight Champ Jens Pulver at a future WEC event in October.
