Affliction: Banned makes $2 million at the gate


The Affliction debut show dubbed "Banned" made a total of $2,085,510 at the gate according to the California State Athletic Commission. The paid attendance total was 11,242 with an extra 3,590 attendance being complimentary making the total attendance with 14,832. The numbers at the gate at the Honda Center in Anaheim came just short in second with UFC 59 making at total of $2.2 million at the gate with a paid attendance of 13,060 and an extra 754 attendance given complimentary tickets for a total attendance of 13,814. The only difference between the UFC and Affliction is the fighter payroll with the UFC fighters only making a purse of $539,000 and Affliction's fighter purse was a hefty $3.3 million.
