We were first to report the rumor that EliteXC would approach KJ Noons and Nick Diaz about a possible fight at the July 26 EliteXC on CBS card. Now the rumor is gaining momentum as we found out today from Bloodyelbow.com the card is taking place in Nick Diaz's hometown of Stockton, California. Read the rumor we reported last week here.

As we reported Nick Diaz did say in a interview with us that he would drop his fight with Hayato "Mach" Sakurai for a fight for EliteXC.

"If you had a choice one month from now to fight in the Dream Tournament or fight for the EliteXC lightweight championship which would you do first?
My first loyalty right now is to EliteXC so that's where I would fight but a month from now I should be in Japan fighting in Dream. I've always liked fighting in Japan especially since they use a ring instead of a cage."

UPDATE - Here is what we got from a unnamed EliteXC official.

"They havent told officially that it is stockton, but it appears so ... doubt rematch would be that quick, but you never know ... thought nick might be on show since he is from stockton but not sure now after what I've been reading .. "
