Reports from various sources indicate that the UFC is contacting fighters within the organization to possibly put up a show which would be free on Spike TV on July 19. which so happens to be the same night that Affliction launches its inaugural show on PPV.
It has been said that the UFC has talked to up and comer Cain Velasquez about competing on the card. There are also reports that they have also spoken with Wanderlei Silva and Brandon "The Truth" Vera either as being the co-main event or as a possible main event fight. Nothing has been confirmed, but should the UFC put this card together with about five weeks till July 19, than things might not look so good for Affliction and their PPV buys.
