According to sherdog.com the 6'4" Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (10-1) and former Pride vet Sergei Kharitonov (15-3) have verbally agreed to face one another July 26 in Stockton, California. This will determine who will become the first EliteXC Heavyweight Champion on CBS "Saturday Night Fights". Silva is coming off of a decision victory over former UFC Heavyweight Champ Ricco Rodriguez at EliteXC: Street Certified in February to earn a shot at the title and Kharitonov is coming off a TKO victory over Alistair Overeem this past September at K-1 Hero's Tournament Final. Kharitonov was avenging an earlier loss to Overeem from their days in Pride.
