In an interview with MMAweekly.com Ultimate Fighter season 6 winner Mac Danzig called Clay Guida a "Gatekeeper" and confirmed they will be fighting at UFN-15 in September. I will admit at first it sounded as if he was disrespecting Guida but after reading the whole article he is very complimentary of Guida.
" I feel he’s that gatekeeper to the Top 10 or Top 5 in the lightweight division. I think he’s put himself in that position by being one of the best fighters in the UFC. He’s had a couple really close decisions and that (Roger) Huerta loss set him back a little bit."We all heard the rumors that the two would be fighting at UFC 87: Seek and Destroy and then we never got confirmation. Now we know why Danzig also confirmed he tore muscles in his knee against Mark Bocek. He says the injury was slow to heal but he expects to be ready come fight time.
