The UFC has added a couple of fights for the upcoming UFC 88: Breakthrough and UFN 15shows. These are cards that will take place in the month of September as former Pride champ Dan Henderson (22-7) will face Rousimar Palhares (8-1) at UFC 88: Breakthrough in Atlanta. It looks like Hendo will be staying in the division even though he lost to the curent middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Henderson will be looking to end a 2 fight losing streak as he takes on Palhares who won in his UFC debut against Ivan Salaverry who just recently retired.
It appears that Nick Diaz (17-7) will not be getting his rematch with KJ Noons for the EliteXC lightweight championship July 26 on CBS "Saturday Night Fights". Instead Diaz will be entering the cage in his hometown of Stockton, Ca. to face Thomas "Wild Man" Denny (26-16). Diaz has won 3 of his last 4 fights just recently defeating Muhsin Corbbrey at EliteXC: Return of the King card in Hawaii and as for Denny he won his last bout in a matchup with Muay Thai specialist Malaipet "Team Diamond" at a recent ShoXC card due to illegal blows to the back of his head. Overall; Denny has won 4 of his last 5 bouts. This will be an intriguing matchup to watch.
