URDirt on MMA, UPDATE ON "MMA Live" delayed UFC wants it to be exclusive.

Kenny Florian to host "MMALive" on ESPN.com Tonight.

*UPDATE*
MMApayout.com is reporting that the show has been delayed over the UFC's insistence on being an exclusive show. It appears the UFC probably did not want companies such as EliteXC, Dream, IFL, Affliction and Adrenaline to be publicizedon ESPN.com or other wise. This is not the first time the UFC has done battle with a network over control of a show. It has been highly publicized that the reason they did not get a long rumored deal with HBO done was because of production. CBS also rumored to be in talks with the UFC before going with EliteXC.

"My 2 Cents"

The UFC's unwillingness for compromise is costing them in negotiations it seems a lot of deals are falling apart over the companies stubbornness over control. At some point is this going to burn their bridges and leave the UFC on a Island all alone?

Kenny Florian who recently beat Joe Lauzon at Ultimate Fight Night 13 and filled in for Joe Rogan's commentating duties at UFC 83 will host a show for ESPN.com called "MMALive".
Florian who will be fighting Roger Huerta at UFC 87 in Minnesota broke the news on MMAweekly.com.

“Basically, I was contacted by ESPN about two weeks before my fight against (Joe) Lauzon, and there was some interest. They finally got the okay to do an MMA show, and they were interested in using me for this show,”

The show will be Co-hosted by John Anik and Franklin Neal a reporter for the Newark-Star ledger. The show will be seen as a ESPN.com exclusive and will be 30 minutes long. Subjects will not be limited to the UFc and will speak about other organizations also.

"My 2 Cents"
Kenny is one hell of a fighter and a work horse and its great to see that he will be hosting this show on ESPN.com. The sport needs more exposure I am hoping it winds up on ESPN also, so those fat guys at P.T.I who take pot shots will have to work along side real MMA fighters. Kenny a great job filling in for Joe Rogan at UFC 83 and I guess will be the UFC's Frank Trigg.
