Inside MMA correspondent Ron Kruck who does updates on MMA weekly news was doing his usual segment. He interviewed Jason McDonald who said he had no current fight up coming at the time and said.
"I want to fight, fighters who are better then me. Higher ranked fighters. I don't want a step back in competition"
The interview and Kruck's segment were uneventful until Kruck informed the viewers of the new Ultimate fighter season 8's coaches. He announced Frank Mir and Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira. After saying Nogueira's name Kruck said "who is holding the belt for the real UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture" . At first I thought it was a bit insulting to Nogueira because Randy basucally turned his back away from the UFC. He has pretty much shut the door on returning to the UFC. The statement did raise a fair question.
