Vitor Belfort may not be able to fight at the July 19 debut card for Affliction, if he does not pay the $10,000 fine he received from the NSAC. Belfort tested positive at Pride 32 after losing by decision to Dan Henderson. The NSAC who is very strict on Illegal substance abuse is at least willing to work with Belfort, we got this from a statement released by Keith Keizer to NBC sports.
"As far as Cage Rage goes, that had nothing to do with his discipline here," Kizer said. "Now, if he does come back and wants to fight here, we'll ask him about Cage Rage and why it took him so long to pay his fine, but it has nothing to do with the Affliction card.
"It should be no impediment if he pays the fine," Kizer said.
So hopefully Vitor pays the fine and gets back on track so he can fight Terry Martin at Affliction:Banned.
