The IFL cancels it's August show. Jeff Monson pulls out of Adrenaline debut, Jason Guida takes his place.



It has been reported that the IFL August 15 event at the Izod Center in New Jersey has been cancelled.The cancellation of the event has been announced by CEO and IFL president Jay Larkin who said "The reason behind the cancellation of the August event was because the show would have put the promotion in financial jeopardy."

Larkin also stated to reporters that the promotion will continue to downsize its workforce and is reviewing contractual obligations with some of their coaches,but there are no plans at this time to give fighters the pink slip.

The show was supposed to debut it's new six-sided ring called "The Hex".Plus;there was a rumored bout with Ryan "The Lion" Schultz defending the lightweight championship against Jim Miller.



In other MMA news former UFC heavyweight contender Jeff Monson pulls out of the main event against Mike Russow due to a hand injury sustained in his matchup with Josh Barnett on the May 18 Sengoku:Second Battle card.

In his place will now be Jason Guida who is a Chicago police officer and the older brother of UFC lightweight competitor Clay Guida.The Adrenaline card will be held at the Sears Centre Arena near Chicago,Illinois.
