In a interview with Tatame.com Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva said he will be fighting on July 26 for EliteXC's Heavyweight belt. This adds another quality fight and event to the "Summer of MMA 08". This will make 18 events this Summer tracing back from UFC 84:ill Will to September. No opponent was announced, here is a piece of the interview.
"Tatame- What is your plan now?
Silva- It is almost right that I will fight on July 26, at CBS by EliteXC and and it is going to be for the belt, I don’t have an opponent yet, but still has a long time ahead.
Tatame- If you could choose your opponent, who would you choose?
Silva- Without any doubt anyone between Top 10 I would be pleased. Because I'm in the queue and I want to be among the Top 10 and maybe one day, be among the first and second places. Who would you like to see Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva fight?
