Both of these guys like to stand and bang and this is going to be a exciting fight. Rogers comes off of a win over one of tonights main event participants James Thompson. He is bigger then Murphy and packs a lot of KO power. Murphy I saw fight Dave Huckaba at a ShowXC event last year in August and it was a very exciting slug fest. Murphy won by KO but both fighters were very sloppy.

"The New York Bad ass" Phil Baroni (10-9) Vs "Smokin Joe" Joey Villasenor (25-6)
I LOVE THIS FIGHT ON PAPER!! This right here can be fight of the night. Baroni likes to stand and bang. Joey likes to be technical yet packs a ton of power for any fighter who sleeps on it. Ask Ryan Jensen he just woke up from the devistating KO Joey delivered in their last fight. I got a lot of love for Baroni being from Brooklyn New York myself. Phil is the Epitome of of a New Yorker arrogant in your face in the spotlight but a really good guy at heart who likes to entertain the fans. My heart says Phil, my MMA mind says Joey. Greg Jackson will not let his fighter walk into a fight with out a back up plan of a take down and submission.

Gina Carano (5-0) Vs Kaitlin Young (4-1)
This fight is history in the making because EliteXC has brought some thing to the table for all fans Men and Women alike will both have interest in. Gina like to stand and bang and is the face of Women's MMA right now. Kaitlin young on the other hand is being brought in as a worthy contender but a under dog. Carano likes to stand and bang and had improved her JuJitsu a lot the last time I saw her fight. Young has won all 4 of her fights by T/KO but her one loss is by Submission to Sara Schneider. I do not know a lot about Young but if Gina Carano's head is in the spotlight and not this fight. Young could easily walk out of this fight with a win.

"Ruthless" Robbie Lawler (15-4) Vs Scott "Hands of Steel" Smith (13-4).
Talk about fight of the night potential. Both of these fighters are exciting and former UFC veterans who have tons of potential. These guys styles are taylor made for a main event Championship fight. Smith is coming off of a exciting KO over Kyle Noke at EliteXC's Street certified. Lawler is coming off of a injury and has not fought since Spetmeber of 2007. His last win was over Pride veteran "Ninja" Rua by TKO. Lawler was patient and waited for his shot to attack Ninja who was throwing punches until he gassed himself at the end of the 2nd round. Lawler preceeded to go to work and picked apart Rua for the (3rd round) win and the EliteXC Middleweight Championship.

Kimbo Slice (2-0) Vs James Thompson (14-8)
Wether MMA fans like it or not this is EliteXC's main event and Kimbo is the guy who puts Asses in seats and peaks non MMA fan's interest. James Thompson is a former Pride veteran and former debt Collector (better pay that Capital one bill) 6'5, 265 pounds (The limit for the HW division in MMA). Thompson has fought some of the world's best Heavyweights in the world in Pride with mixed results. Thompson recently trained at Team Couture in preperation for his last fight with Brett Rogers. Team couture is known for their ground and pound and wrestling speacialty to negate strikers like Kimbo. So do not be surprised if Thompson attempts to take this fight to the ground as stated in a recent EliteXC media conference call. Kimbo at the same event when asked for a prediction said "I want this fight to go to the ground". If the fight does not go to the ground Thompson's jaw has always been the biggest question about his ability. Being knocked out by Butterbean, Aleksander Emilianenko, and Neil Grove in past fights. Kimbo's speacialty is a brutal onslaught of knock out power.
