MMA BLASPHEMY EliteXC on CBS blacked out in Ohio, Kentucky, South Carolina and parts of Pennsylvania!

"Props to Wampus of Ohio for the details"

So I was on Sherdog's message boards last night and we are hearing from MMA fans that CBS will be running a Children's telethon instead of "Saturday night fights". This event which should garner a lot of attention from Mixed martial art's fans and the biggest male demographic 18 to 39 is being blacked out in various markets. One fan told me it was not listed on his channel guide in Ohio. He also told me it would air after the Children's marathon at 1:00 a.m. Only if the telethon did not run long. Other places included parts of Pennsylvania and South Carolina. This upset many fans who had hoped to see the first ever live EliteXC on CBS event for free. We do know in a recent interview CBS chairman Sumner Redstone voiced displeasure with the airing of MMA on CBS. "Les (Moonves CEO CBS) usually asks my opinion," Redstone said. "Most of the time, he does the right thing." Is this a attempt by Redstone to make sure it does not reach the full audience MMA fans feel it deserves?

At last weeks EliteXC media conference call Pro elite president Gary Shaw said when fielding questions from the press. Was optimistic about reaching his target audience and expected to meet his goals. We wonder now if he knows about the various markets being blacked out.

We are trying now to reach EliteXC and CBS officials for a official comment. We will update you as soon as we find out any details. This needs a petition now.

Update
Wampus also has found out that the show is also being Blacked out in Kentucky, The Lexington area and East Kentucky.

Still no word from CBS or EliteXC, 1:00p.m.

Those are 2 image's that i took myself of the show line-up of www.wbns10tv.com which is the station that provide's the feed to my cable provider. As you can see elitexc is no where to be found what so ever. Anyone in columbus ohio w time warner looks like they wont be able to watch this event since the station is based out of columbus and offer's CBS to all of time warner's customers.

Another update, i have been to Tvguide.com and i have entered multiple zip code's of columbus ohio and entered each category of type of cable provider available for that area, and i get the same answer towards the showing of the event. "No event is being shown in the next 14 days" So apparently everyone in the columbus area is cable television no matter what the provider wont be able to view this event.
