Two of PRIDE's greatest fighters in one of its greatest tournaments faced each other in a very anticipated rematch. One its greatest striker in Mirko Cro Cop who had fought every great HW fighter with mixed results. Always the number one seed never the Champion, MMA's Dan Marino so close but never to the top of the mountain. His time to fight his greatest rival in Fedor was close if he could just win this tournament and every Pride fan wanted to see a rematch of one of its greatest fights ever. The man standing in his way "The Axe Murderer" Wanderlei Silva the 205 pound king in PRIDE for 2 years. As dangerous as Mirko was with his feet Wanderlei was just as dangerous with his hands. The stage was set in the Saitama Super Arena, Mirko Cro Cop Vs Wanderlei Silva was ready to go.

Bigfoot Vs Kharitonov rumors are false...

Fightline.com is reporting that the rumors of Antonio "Bigfoot/Pezao" Silva are false a source close to EliteXC has told them that the fight was discussed but never a done deal. Their source also said that Silva already has an opponent and an announcement will come shortly. Stay tuned I'm crossing my fingers it will be none other than this guy right here.

Roy Nelson I have heard mumblings and rumblings coming out of EliteXC that Nelson is a possible opponent for Bigfoot, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that its true. Also if this fight happens and EliteXC decides to leave it on Showtime I will really be upset because how do they expect their fans to know their fighters yet dont put them on the best platforms. Some are hardly known more than a undercard UFC fighter, which is a big mistake America loves big guys like Bigfoot. Add to the fact he doesn't speak English and looks like a monster and that is a guy Americans can love to grow and watch .

Strikeforce "Melendez Vs Thompson" Weigh - ins.

UPDATE- Drew Fickett who was supposed to fight Luke Stewart at tonights Strikeforce "Melendez Vs Thompson" has also pulled out of tonights fight. Fickett replaced Joe Riggs yesterday after Riggs was not cleared to fight by the CSAC. Riggs had also replaced Shonie Carter who was also pulled from the card, Luke Stewart will not fight due to all these opponents ducking him in fear (kidding). I hope Luke at least still gets paid by Strikeforce its not his fault all these guys dont have the balls to fights him.

Chris Leben Vs Michael Bisping Leben to headline UFC 89

As we all know Chris Leben was supposed to face Michael Bisping at the UFC 85: Cursed card which happened a few weeks back. Leben who had a open warrant for a DWI in Oregon turned himself in a few weeks before the fight and was not eligible for bail. So after time spent in jail Leben was not able to compete in the fight and was scratched. Bisping was given a new opponent in Jason Day and went on to win his second impressive fight at 185 pounds.

So now with his third fight at middleweight and title talk once again being attached to him Bisping will face a dangerous opponent in a fight that is sure to be a war. Bisping's stand up and speed looks very much improved and Leben is allergic to Jiu-Jitsu so we should expect a crowd pleasing fight.
